Max's homemade stocking and 1st ornament

I decided to make Max's Christmas stocking special instead of my normal 50% off at Target, so I bought some fabric and sewed a stocking for him from scratch. Yes, that is right. I sewed. I think it turned out pretty good! I also wanted to document a special ornament Max was given by his Great Gran - I hung the tree and thought of her and how many special moments we have had throughout the years. I love you Gran!

Balloons December 6, 2008

A little girl at the Christmas breakfast gave Max a balloon. While I wouldn't normally give him a balloon to play with, he had a blast with it.

Breakfast with Santa December 6

Our neighborhood put on a little Christmas breakfast for the children. There was a surprise visit from Santa, and a Christmas play about baby Jesus. I think Max was the only child who wanted to know what Santa TASTED like...

My Boys!

Again - no special event -but I LOVE this picture! I don't think there is a more frame worthy picture out there!!

Left out

I don't want anyone to be left out, so I thought I would post a few pics of our "other" children! Max just loves his animals! Especially Ginger!

Grandmother's water must be tasty...

While snuggling with his grandmother on Thanksgiving day, Max decided he needed a taste out of her water glass. She had a hard time getting him to let go!

Happy 1st Thanksgiving!

Darrell and I brought Max to Gran and Grandaddy's house for our annual Thanksgiving tradition. He slept the whole trip there and back, so he was a joy to be around all day. I am so glad he finally got to meet his Maternal great grandparents! We gave him a little taste of big people food - mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and cranberry sauce (I know that was mean -but I wanted to see if he made a good sour face!). He hated all of it...Oh well. Maybe next year!

Uh-Oh...

We had one of our favorite meals the other day as a treat - BIG FAT BURRITOS from Moe's! Max was very interested in Darrell's drink cup - so we let him put the straw in his mouth. Do I see a soda junkie in the future...hmmm!

Just Too Darn Cute Nov 2008

There really isn't any special occaision to these pictures. They are just cute...

Unsupported Sitting! November 2008

Where does time go?! It seems like just yesterday, my little boy couldn't really do anything but eat, poo and cry. Now he is sitting up by himself and rolling around the living room. I can't tell you the exact date he began sitting up all by himself, (I know - I am a terrible mommy) but here are the 1st good pictures of him

Sippy Cup

OK- I know this is a bit out of order - but Oct 19, we gave Max his 1st sippy cup with apple juice in it. It took a few tries - but now he is drinkin' like a champion~

Boo!

Poor Max! We dressed him as a pea pod this halloween. I bet he is going to hate that we have pictures of that when he grows up! We went trick or treating to a few of our neighbors' homes with The Brinchek's. Max was asleep after the 3rd house.
