1st Big Boy Meal!

After the go ahead from Max's Pediatrician to start on table foods, I could not wait to feed him! I dug through the fridge at his dinner time and served up a little ham, mandarin orange, bread, and gerber puffs! We still had a bit of baby food to fill up the old tummy. Max ate some, made some crazy faces, but mostly played with his new foods. He sat in his high chair for a long time exploring the new textures and tastes! What a big boy!

Max Stats at his 9month Check-Up

Lilypie 1st Birthday Ticker

Max had his 9month Check up on February 10th (Happy Birthday Grandaddy). It was our 3rd attempt to get him in! The 1st try, Dr. Hewett was sick with a stomach bug, the 2nd time, it snowed. I guess 3rd time's a charm, even if our 9mo check up was almost at 10 mos! Anyway...Max is progressing nicely~ He is now 19.5 lbs and the 30%tile for weight, he is 28.25 inches long and in the 48%tile for height. Looks like our chunky monkey is evening out now! His head is 44.5cm and in the 20%tile. Dr. Hewett said Max is adorable and doing well! My little "pinhead" now has permission to eat table foods like Mommy and Daddy! Dr. Hewett then said it is a privilege for him to see our Max, and sent us on our way! Thank you Dr. Hewett!

Up We Go! February 8 2009

Jeanne, Darrell and I went in to get Max up for the morning on Ferbruary 8th, and for the 1st time we found him sitting up all by himself in the crib! He seems so proud of himself! Time to drop that mattress Daddy!

I can do it myself...

The other day, just for giggles, I handed Max his bottle while he was playing on the floor. He took it and went to town. I was so happy and sad at the same time! My little baby is becoming so independent. Sigh. I am still going to cuddle him while he eats as long as he'll let me!

Mommy's in a picture!

I believe this picture was taken in December 2008, so it is a bit older - but I love it - And I am actually in it! It isn't often I like a photo with me in it - but who couldn't love a photo of herself holding such a precious little boy?! Thank you Jeanne for making me say cheese!

In the Army Now...

No pictures yet - but it appears our little baby is becoming more mobile! It all began with rolling over, which quickly turned into rolling all around the room. Next, after he learned to sit on his own, Max started the butt scoot boogie and could get all the way across a room on his behind! (Totally cute by the way). Now, as of Monday February 2nd, my little man has graduated to the army -the army crawl that is! He is pulling himself forward with his arms. It still takes a lot of effort and concentration, but YEAH MAX! You did it! (don'tcha love the army green text?!)

PJ-Jammers

Thank you Aunt Judy and Cousin Tommy for the cutest pj's I think I have ever seen! Max really loves them. And mommy thinks Max is YUMMY in them...see for yourself!

Awww

A couple more pics of the newest kittie additions to the family (and the original 2)

New Pets!

I know, I know. We all ready had 2 cats and a dog. Well, the crazy Fergusons brought home 2 more cats Saturday Jan 24th. Sabrina and Cosmo are a ton of fun. Sabrina is the first of our cats to chase Maizy(the dog)! Cosmo is a persistent little guy who won't take no for an answer. He will climb, hop and run wherever he thinks it is necessary. He also likes to nibble on Darrell and I when we are sleeping which quickly went from cute to extremely annoying! Max and Cosmo became fast friends and enjoy playing together. Sabrina joined the rest of the cats in not giving a hoot who or what Max is! But when Cosmo crashes - he sleeps for hours - really cute!

First SNOW Day

January 27th, Max had his first snow day! We had several inches of the white stuff, and Max had a pretty decent fever. So, he did not really get a chance to explore the Winter Wonderland as much as I would have liked. He did go outside for a minute to see what the snow was like!
