As usual, I wanted to put my own special touch on Max's special day! I decided to make and decorate his cakes myself! They are no Judy Dillman Cakes - but hey - I do what I can with a boxed cake mix! The cakes didn't turn out the way I wanted them to - but they were yummy, and Max had a blast, which is the important thing! Oh - and believe it or not, we served Max his cake in the living room, and not one drop of that fantastic blue icing made its way to the carpet!

1 Year Stats!
Max went to see Dr Hewett on April 17th for his 1year check up! Everything is great! He is growing as he should. He is now 28 1/2 inches long (30th percentile) and 20 lbs 9 1/2 oz (20th percentile). He is now drinking whole milk instead of formula, and isn't taking bottles anymore! Dr. Hewett was nice enough to say cheese for Max's cheesy mommy!
Presents, Pinwheels and Car seats!
Darrell and I gave Max a roadmap rug and cars, and a swing for his birthday! We haven't hung the swing yet so Max doesn't know about it yet! But, the cars are a hit! I think he is all ready making the vroom vroom noises!! He also enjoyed playing w/ the pinwheels that we got for his party favors! He got to keep the blue one! Max is also big enough to sit front facing in his car seat! He LOVES his new seat!
Red Robin...Yum
Darrell and I took Max out to eat for dinner at Red Robin on his birthday! He ate some of Mommy's chicken sandwich and some of Daddy's hamburger! He enjoyed coloring the activity page and playing with a balloon! The staff came and sang to him after our meals and gave Max an icecream sundae! Mmmm! Thanks for a great night Red Robin!
