Halloween 2013
I usually love seeing my munchkins all dressed up for Halloween. This year, however, I have been laid up with a really bad case of strep throat. I did manage to take the little ones including our new friend to story time with my littlest niece. That night, Darrell took my big kids around to a few houses. I am disappointed I didn't get to show off my little Riley-dragon, Alexis the Pumpin Princess, and Max-dragon. Here are a few pics I did manage to snag.

Pickin' Pump-ins
We took the kids to a roadside pumpkin "patch" today to pick our fall pumpkins. The big kids had a great time running up and down the rows of pumpkins. The man working at the stand gave the kids little pumpkins of their own.
Alexis calls them pumpins. I just LOVE how two year olds talk!
She even wore a homemade pumpkin hair bow to celebrate!
Poor Riley slept through the whole thing.
I tried to get a cute pose-with-the-pumpkins picture, but neither child would look at me. Oh well.
Stay tuned...we plan on carving up the big pumpkin tomorrow!

Creepy-Crawly
How funny is it that my Riley is starting to crawl in October? He has the army crawl down pat now. He can also get on his hands and knees and rock. This mama is not ready for my littlest one to be on the move. The more mobile they are, the less they want to snuggle. And I LOVE to snuggle my babies. Another challenge to crawling? They are able to locate the tiniest speck of dirt the vacuum may have missed and EAT it. GROSS! The most mundane things are now terrifying death traps. On the bright side, he has shown me he is able to use his thumb and fore finger to pick up objects, so he may now have puffs. Stay tuned! I am sure we will have a crawler any day now! Funny side note? The blue outfit you see here is the very same he wore home from the hospital. Back then I was trying to shrink it to help him fit in it. Now, I am trying to stretch it a little so that he can still wear it! Many thinks to his Aunt and Uncle for such a special article of clothing!

Red Eye
We joined some friends at Shelley Lake today to feed the ducks. One crazy duck jumped up on the bridge with us and chased the kids all around for pieces of bread. Max decided his name should be Red Eye. Alexis LOVED feeding the birdies! After the bread was gone, we headed to the playground for some running around and a picnic lunch. What a great way to spend a fall morning!
