Let's go to the Zoo! June 24th

Darrell's niece was in NC for about a month this summer, so we all took a day trip to the Asheboro Zoo.  I was a little nervous about the potential heat and how Riley would do, but we did great!  A huge shout out go to Amy and Darrylann for making that possible!  Those girls are angels! Darrylann carried Max a majority of the way.  We saw elephants, giraffes, bears, zebras, and all the usual suspects.  Alexis's favorite part?  The barred owl which we can also see in our back yard. Max's?  A toss up between the mister tree and the tram.  Sigh.  My favorite will always be the grizzly bear.  We had a ball...many thanks to Darrell's parents for the trip!  Two items worth mentioning: one of the chimps is named Amy (hahahahaha) and where the sign says it is "all down hill from here, the zookeepers are totally lying.
